However, suppose you’re after the best possible safari experience, like day and afternoon game drives, night game drives, walking safaris, and canoeing. In that case, it’s best to visit during the dry season (late June to October).
Due to its lush vegetation, waterfall cascade, and wildlife gatherings, the most scenic period is in the wet season (November to May). It is also the best time to see flamingos and their fascinating colorings.

Lake Manyara has famously been crowned as a unique destination known for its tree-climbing lions. You may have seen the photos online, but this isn’t a daily occurrence. They are difficult to see, and no tour operator can guarantee you will witness this peculiar behavior.

Absolutely! The park offers so much adventure that you would have to stay a lifetime to experience it all. Not to mention the amazing wildlife!

A few activities that Lake Manyara offers that many other parks do not include; Night Game Drives, Hot Spring Tours, Treetop Walkways, Cultural Village Tours, Hippo Pool Viewpoints, and a canoeing experience, which you can’t find in other Northern Circuit parks. We told you there was a lot!

Kilimanjaro National Park houses many fascinating, beautiful, unique animals. The wildlife found at the park includes elephants, Cape buffaloes, giraffes, black rhinos, leopards, and servals.

In addition, the park also has hyenas, several baboon species, monkeys, aardvarks, antelopes, and many others. However, you can’t spot the Big Five here.

So, if you want to see the famous Big Five and other big games, we recommend you visit other major parks in Tanzania, like Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire.

The park was initially established to protect elephants from rampant poaching activities. This effort has increased the number of elephants and other fascinating wildlife in the park.
